According to the American Diabetes Association, in 2012, 29.1 million Americans or 9.3% of the population had diabetes.  Approximately 1.25 million American children and adults have type 1 diabetes. Of the 29.1 million, 21.0 million were diagnosed, and 8.1 million were undiagnosed.

Insulin Pump Therapy

An insulin pump is a small device that is worn externally and delivers precise doses of rapid-acting insulin to closely match your body’s needs. Talk with your primary care provider or endocrine specialist to determine if the pump may be the right therapy for you.
